Why have a coloured bottle?… It can help your sales

Good morning,

I hope you’re well.

I’m Francesco from Acri Wine Service,

the service dedicated to importers: wholesalers and distributors.

Are you wondering what I can do for you?

I find important companies that produce good quality wine

with an excellent quality/price ratio.

And then I tell you about them in my Newsletter, so that you can get to know them

and introduce you to their products.

The uncommon request.

A month ago a customer called me to tell me that in her shop the bottles all look the same, apart from the labels, only the shape of some of them changes.

To understand which wine it is, customers have to approach the shelf and read the label.

She asks me if there are any bottles that are not too expensive and stand out at first glance.

Or if there are coloured bottles, also to give a touch of colour and liveliness to the assortment.

She says that even though she has enhanced the lighting, it still seems too dark.

The bottles are actually dark, the red wine bottles, for a

for a very specific reason.

The dark glass protects the wine from the light to prevent oxidation.

I reply quickly, telling her that the problem can easily be solved, even sending her a picture of the bottle on whatsapp.

Not even time to put the phone back in my pocket….

She replies to the message with a vowel saying that she has never seen this bottle around, anywhere.

She writes me again that she loves it, and after showing it to her husband and daughter, she wants me to send her a price with the best offer right away.

This beautiful bottle contains Pinot Grigio Doc and is part of the Gemma di Luna brand.

Pinot Grigio is a very popular grape variety in Europe.

It is mainly grown in Italy, Slovenia, France, Switzerland and Germany.

Of course, in each place it gets a different name.

In Italy it is widespread and cultivated in Friuli V. G., Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino A. A.

Pinot Grigio comes from France in Alsace since 1500.

Its name comes from the French word “Pin”, which means pine.

The shape of its cluster resembles a pine cone, from which it takes its name.

It is a fresh and light wine with only 12% alcohol.

Pino Grigio Gemma di Luna Doc has an intense aroma, of white pulp fruit.

The colour is straw yellow.

It has a fruity, dry and full-bodied taste with good acidity.

For almost 50 years, Pinot Grigio has been the most widely exported wine in the USA.

Some people think it is a wine that was very fashionable in the 70s and 80s.
